Controlling Drugs and Alcohol in the Workplace

Join this SWANA Webinar on the challenges posed by drugs and alcohol in the workplace. The program will describe employer legal liabilities relating to these substances, including the many issues they present, safety challenges, safety-sensitive positions, and workplace violence. The presenters will address drug testing and compliance with OSHA and other relevant laws. They will also discuss employee disability protections, the legal challenges brought by addiction, and employee rights to obtain leave. Finally, the program will address practical considerations for testing, treatment, and employee assistance programs, as well as how to regulate cannabis in a changing regulatory environment.
